Memo | Fall 2016
Memo written to recommend making a closed Facebook group for employees as an additional way of internal communication. This memo is meant to be written by a public relations manager to the CEO of a firm, who is older and has little interest in adopting social media strategies for marketing or public relations purposes. Includes a clear statement of proposal, examples of how it will be used and why it should be used, addresses concerns that could come up and suggestion of steps to move forward.
Meet New J Students | Fall 2016
The Advanced Social Media Strategies class is partnered with VML, a full service global marketing and ad agency, in Kansas City. Together we create content for the Missouri School of Journalism's Twitter, YouTube, and blog. "Meet New J Students: Claire Bradshaw" was my first blog and tweet written for the Missouri School of Journalism.

Instagram Post | Fall 2016​
This assignment was to find and write a story about a student within a certain emphasis area in the Missouri School of Journalism. Met and interviewed student to develop strong content ideas that would also lead to interesting pictures. Pictures were taken and the story was written in the form of a caption to be posted with the photos on the Missouri School of Journalism’s Instagram page.
Press Release | Spring 2016​
This is a press release for my Public Relations class. I was given a prompt stating to write a press release for Pizza Tree who was partnering with famous Chef Mario Batali. I then had to tailor it to a specific audience, and create the event and details myself.
RMHC News Release | Fall 2016
News release written on behalf of the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Mid- Missouri to generate media coverage and encourage attendance for the opening of a new Ronald McDonald Family Room. Research was done to gain full understanding of the topic. Written in an inverted pyramid structure while thinking of the timeliness, impact, proximity, conflict, unusualness, and prominence of news.
Feature Story | Fall 2016​
A semester long project that profiles a Missouri School of Journalism graduate, published to the school’s website. The process involved interviewing the subject, three written and revised drafts, writing headlines and sublines, adding visuals with captions, and pulling quotes.
Pitching | Fall 2016​
Pitched a newsworthy topic for my Public Relations Writing class. The goal was to gain earned media for the event you were pitching. I pitched the opening of a new bar in Columbia, Mo.
Content Creation | Spring 2016​
Content creation and marketing project for my Public Relations class. This involved a situation analysis, identifying a target audience, choosing media outlets, writing a press release, and writing a blog.
